Congratulations to Janet Ivel for being awarded the Regional Muriel McNally Award.

This award is presented to a volunteer who has made a notable contribution to the development of netball at grass roots level over a significant period of time who has supported grass roots netball development by way of coaching, umpiring or administration for a minimum of ten years.

Everyone will agree that Janet fits the bill for all the volunteer work she does on committees, for both Senior and Junior members of local leagues, County and Regional.

Well done Janet!

The HDNL Winter league started on 28th September 2008 and will run until March 2009.

Games are played in Harrogate on the indoor netball courts at either Ashville or Harrogate Ladies College.

York Thunder are playing in the Netball Yorkshire Regional League. They are currently in 7th place in this very competitive competition.
