The North Yorkshire County Challenge Competition (The Ladder
A social but competitive competition, operating outside of the formal winter league seasons in August & September.
The competition works like a ladder - teams progress to the top of the ladder by winning matches and moving up to the next rung. Teams can select their opponents and either play a team on the same level as themselves, or a team on the next level above. New for 2016 is a quarter of ‘power play’ in each match, teams chose a quarter in which to adopt this and each goal scored is worth two points during this power play period! Matches are played ‘centrally’ at different venues on Wednesday evenings. This competition is open to all teams within the County and offers great pre-season training opportunities or simply the opportunity to stay fit and enjoy the game!
