County Competition
North Yorkshire Netball Ambassador League (NYNAL)
Our highest level of competition founded in 2009. This year will be the second season of the new highly popular and successful Third Division which gives teams an important bridge from District to County.
We now have a total of 25 teams entered who will be split as follows - 9 teams in Division and 8 teams each in Divisions 2 and 3, who will play each other twice during the season. The winners of Division 1 will qualify for the Regional play offs, the first step onto the National competition ladder.
This year will also see the return of the popular Ridings Cup and Plate (and now!) Vase, giving teams from each division an extra chance to compete for a trophy. Teams will play in small round robin leagues which will culminate in a final for each division.
The NYNAL League operates between September and March with matches played at indoor venues at Millthorpe School, York, Harrogate High School and Boroughbridge High School. NYNAL adapts the Yorkshire Regional League regulations to meet the needs of our County association.

North Yorkshire Juniors
For the 2019-20 season, we have restructured the North Yorkshire Junior League for Junior Club members in the Under-12; Under-14 and Under-16 age groups.
We hope that the outcomes will be to offer more match playing opportunities, provide more regular match playing opportunities and hereby raise the standard of play in these age groups. The restructuring will also provide further match opportunities for Learner Umpires.
Matches are played on Sunday afternoons at venues across the North Yorkshire County; currently at Harrogate High School, Ashville College, Boroughbridge High School, Manor School, York, Millthorpe School, York.
The NY Junior Leagues will run in two phases – Phase 1 September/ October to December and Phase 2 January to March. Teams are divided into Divisions according to the number of teams entering and ability.
Teams in each Division would play the other teams in that Division once. At the end of Phase 1, the top two teams in the Under-14 A Division and Under-16 A Division would progress to play in the Yorkshire Regional Junior League. The remaining teams continue to play in Phase 2 with movement in the Divisions made to fill the space created by the progression of teams to the Regional Leagues.
The Under-12s play their Phase 2 after some movement of teams, and, at the end of Phase 2, the top 3 or 4 teams represent the County in the Under-12 Regional Festival. At the end of Phase 1, coaches can redefine their teams, allowing for progress in the children’s play to be recognised within their Club. Trophies will be awarded to the top team in each Division on the Results of Phase 2.
