Hambleton League
Competitions within the Hambleton region are organised by the Hambleton Netball League Committee. This Committee consists of:
Hambleton Netball Winter League
The Hambleton Netball League was established in 2017 to promote and develop the game of netball for the inhabitants of Hambleton and the surrounding areas. It encourages a competitive spirit within a structured frame and promotes mass participation. It encourages fair play and sportsmanship and in accordance with the rules of England Netball.
The league consists of 13 teams, playing each other once in the first half of the season from September to February. The league is then split into 2 divisions, the top 7 teams playing against each other once more and the bottom 6 teams into Division 2 and playing each other again. This part of the season runs from February to May.
Matches are played indoors on Thursday evenings at a time between 6.45pm and 9.45pm at one of two locations:
Fixtures and Umpires are scheduled by the Fixtures Secretary as are scoring responsibilities for each team.
Hambleton Netball Summer League
The Hambleton Netball Summer League is played from May to July across 2 venues – Thirsk High School, on outdoor courts, at Northallerton Leisure Centre, on an indoor court. There are 2 divisions, each team plays each other twice, once indoors and once outdoors.
Both leagues are open to any team affiliated to England Netball.
