Mentoring from experienced umpires across the county.
How mentoring works
If you are continuing your journey on the officiating pathway, your first step is to complete the appropriate training course (and/or written assessment) by signing up via the England Netball website.
Following completion of the course (or written assessment, if applicable) we are lucky to be able to offer mentoring from a number of experienced umpires in our county.

What mentoring looks like
- For learners under 18
- When your mentor feels you are ready, you will be offered the opportunity to umpire our Junior League.
- Your mentor will advise when and how to apply for your assessment.
- U16 learners can only umpire junior games until they are 16, when we will review you again for release to senior games.
- For adult learners
- When your mentor feels you are ready, you will be able to undertake league games in the lower divisions.
- Your mentor will advise when and how to apply for your assessment.
- The assessment will be arranged by the county officiating lead.
